After cranberries are picked they are run thru a winnower that cleans the leaves and sticks from them.
Next the berries are placed in the separator, which removes 90% of any bad berries which were picked by the machine. This separator is an antique built by Hayden Manufacturing in Carver, MA.
The last step is to hand sort the berries on a table.
Clean organic berries are delivered to customers in 30 lb. boxes or by the pound.
